Troy Van Sickle has always loved car racing. During college, he began participating in local entry-level races throughout Southern California. He has competed in several rally cross events over the last decade and is looking forward to this new venture. He is looking to compete in his first 24-hours of LeMons event in December and has been working on his custom built car for the last several months. He hopes to have the car completed in time to participate in the Arse-Freeze-Apalooza event being held in Sonoma, California, December third and fourth. This will be the first race he has participated in that involved building his own car.

The 24-hours of LeMons is a series of endurance races based on the long-running annual 24 Hours of Le Mans race held around the world. Teams in the events participate in a number of events over the course of the weekend, racing cars that have been built for no more than five hundred dollars. While it is billed as a 24-hour endurance race, the event organizers only attempt to run a true 24-hour race every year. The event began in 2006 at the Altamont Motorsports Park and was held at other tracks in California until expanding in 2008. While Troy Van Sickle has attended many of these races over the years as a spectator, this will be the first year he is an active participant.

Troy Van Sickle is a successful real estate consultant in Palm Springs, California. He is an avid car enthusiast and loves taking his five children to car race events throughout the year. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and spent the first part of his career driving the open roads as a trucker. He actively volunteers his time with many different non-profit organizations in his area encourages everyone to give back. His consulting job keeps him busy and he can’t wait to see what the future holds.
