Abubakar Atiq Durrani has earned himself a reputation as one of the top orthopedists in the country, earning awards and accolades along the way, and was recently given the prestigious Award of Honor in Orthopedic Surgery by the National Institute of Medicine. This marks a high point in the already distinguished career of Abubakar Atiq Durrani.

After earning his undergraduate and doctoral degrees in his home country of Pakistan, Abubakar Atiq Durrani came to America to continue his medical education through residencies and fellowships. He is now licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky, and served as the Director of Spine Surgery and was an attending orthopedic surgeon at West Chester Hospital at the University of Cincinnati in West Chester.

Abubakar Atiq Durrani is perhaps best known for his work in the field of minimally invasive spinal care, in which he has become one of the country’s top experts and pioneered techniques to reduce spinal surgeries, turning many operations into outpatient procedures. Abubakar Atiq Durrani has been the recipient of nearly $2 million in grants to fund his research in this highly regarded field.

Abubakar Atiq Durrani’s clinical program includes a Spine Wellness Program which uses leading therapeutic and diagnostic methods for the promotion of spine health.
