SmallPaws follows a simple philosophy – to offer a home away from home for pets and make the stay as enjoyable as possible. When pets leave their home environment, they have to cope with new smells, activities, and noises, all without the support of their loving owners. This can cause stress in some pets. SmallPaws believes that by providing pets with environmental enrichment, the stress can be effectively managed. The pet hotel establishes this environmental enrichment through a combination of personal attention, exercise, and ambient temperatures. SmallPaws treats every pet as an individual and closely monitors pet behavior to determine the best routine. All staff is qualified and highly trained in pet care, and a critical part of the business.

SmallPaws does not charge extra for exercise. The pet boarding hotel lets its guests spend most of the day in the grassed gardens. SmallPaws has a large indoor play area that is heated and air-conditioned, and all of its accommodation is heated and air-conditioned as well. The hotel has two levels of accommodation for cats including the Lodge and Deluxe packages and three levels for dogs, including the Pucci Suites, The Lodge, and the Deluxe suites. Each level includes complimentary pampering, and extra services such as photos, spa bath, playtime, dog walks, grooming, skype time, treats etc., can also be added separately. The hotel does not charge extra for medication yet strives to give a lot of love and cuddles to its guests. SmallPaws has a number of exercise areas to choose from. The well-ventilated accommodation provides fresh air and ambient controlled temperatures. The charges range from 23 to 55 during low seasons and 28 to 95 during high seasons.

About The Company

SmallPaws is conveniently located 35 minutes North of the Harbour Bridge, at Killawarra Road, Duffys Forest, Sydney, on 5 acres of land amidst a comfortable combination of city and rural ambience. The home has been established for over 41 years, and was previously under the name Duffy’s Forest small pet boarding. The same family continues to run Small Paws for the past 18 years. The pet boarding hotel, in addition to its well-established, air-conditioned/ heated indoor dog lodge and cattery has also opened new luxury pet suites. Striving to provide a home away from home, SmallPaws follows the philosophy that all pets in its care receive as much love and attention as a pet owner would give. All its staff are certified and well trained in different aspects of pet care. SmallPaws is a member of the PIAA (the Pet Industry Association of Australia).
