Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology celebrated Bharat Ratna, M. Vishweshwaraya’s birthday as the “Engineer Day”. Like every year, RIET college organized a special event Synergia 2018. The event was started with a lamp lighting ceremony by I.E.S. Mr. B.Chand (Indian Railway), Dr. Saroj Hiranwal (principal) and Academy dean Mr. Dev Sharma. On this occasion, the college's magazine "Plethora" was also released. The team members of the magazine, Praradha Sharma and Stuti Mitra told that one can read this magazine online by scanning the QR code. It has vital notifications and other information about the college along with the latest news, health tips, fun and food sections.

The Event coordinator Miss Jyoti Khandelwal told the media that there were several interesting events organized at the Synergia 2018 that include technical, fun, Siyahi and Zealicon. Also, the Student Counseling System project was also initiated at the event. On this occasion, under the aegis of TEQIP III RTU, Expert lecture on Android application development was also given by Mr. Amardeep Vijay (Senior Software Engineer, Value First Digital Media Private Limited, Gururgram).

Dr. Saroj Hiranwal, the college Principal said that the event also showcased a number of projects including Go Cart, Bore Well Rescue Robot, Multipurpose Drone, ATM Security, Space Station, Solar Energy Project and Fire Fighting Robot. The winners name are Vikas Sathyalea (M.C.A. Second Year) in Web Designing, Miss Snigdha (Computer Science Second Year) in the Tricky circuit, Karan Singh (Computer Science IV) in Game of Code, Himanshu Pachhar (Mechanical Second Year) in the Royal Workshop. College Academic Dean Mr. Kapil Dev Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the faculty and students.
