According to President Bart Sweazea, the Bakken is a great fit for Pangean Energy. “I have drilled approximately 425 shale wells in my career, so shale drilling is what I know best. The Bakken Shale Formation is a great place for a company with shale experience to be drilling.” The Bakken, and the Eagle Ford Shale play, Bart Sweazea said, represent the top two locations for the company.

“This is a great time to be an oil and gas company with experience in shale drilling,” Bart Sweazea said. Bart Sweazea believes the new venture will help each company produce some of the best wells in the Bakken, based on previous experience in other shale plays, reports The Bakken Magazine.

"Based on my experience in the Barnett Shale, a good closed loop solids control system is imperative. If you can't control your mud weight, you’re gonna cause formation damage, and you're wasting time and money,” said Bart Sweazea. “With a good solids control system on your rig, that gives you the ability to control your mud weight as well as viscosity, you can drill fast, and minimize damage to your formation,” continued Bart Sweazea.

“You can put your mud weight exactly where your mud engineer wants it and keep making hole fast, all the while knowing you're doing your best to protect your formation and giving yourself the best opportunity to make a good producer,” said Bart Sweazea of Pangean Energy.
