Countryside Training – who advise on tree management, felling and surgery – have recently achieved a new accreditation from the Arboricultural Association (AA) under the Arboricultural Approved Contractors scheme (ArbAC). This recognises excellent quality tree care combined with safe and efficient practices.

The Arboricultural Association is a world-leading authority on best practices, professional standards and responsible tree management in the UK. Countryside Training were visited by AA assessors to confirm their high performance at all levels of the company; including health and safety, office processes and finished work.

The ArbAC non-governmental scheme has been running for almost 40 years. Local authorities and commercial organisations are increasingly requiring the accreditation, proving that it holds great importance with Countryside Training. The achievement will strengthen the company’s security and help with continuous improvements and investments for the future. Their clients also will be ensured of safe, ecological and professional practices.

This extra credibility is expected to draw in new business. Countryside Training, and other small companies with ArbAC accreditation, is proven to care for the world’s largest living organisms by encouraging safety, longevity and contribution to the landscape. This is a benchmark for UK arboricultural contracting.

In 2012, the Arboricultural Approved Contractors scheme became a member of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). It is a highly influential organisation for all recognised health and safety schemes in the UK.
