Nashville author singer/songwriter Donna Nolan-Wilson took a trip to Georgia on July 16, 2015 to present Tripp Halstead with the book. The meeting was heartfelt and wonderful.

Little Trip made National news when Super Storm Sandy caused a heavy branch to snap and crush this little boy’s skull. He now has a book that features him, his daily life and hopefully helps bring awareness to Traumatic Brain Injury.

‘The Traveling Jalapenos Meet Tripp Halstead’(http://www.insidethesong.com/new-peppers-book.html) is the story of the 2 and 1/2 year old that was severely injured when a tree branch fell on his head while he was playing outside at his daycare center almost 3 years ago. The Traveling Jalapenos are a fictional musical band of Peppers who are cousins that travel from Nashville to meet Tripp to learn about Traumatic Brain Injury in an effort to raise awareness regarding this injury that affects thousands of families per year.

‘The Little Boy That Could’
The song written by Nashville songwriter Nolan-Wilson formerly of Winder, GA was inspired by Tripp Halstead and has already sold over 1,015 copies on iTunes(https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/little-boy-that-could-tripps/id985262872) and YouTube.

The author of ‘The Traveling Jalapeno’s’ book series which is available on Amazon reflects on how the Peppers came into being. She says, “We would have Taco Sunday with our grandkids and there was a jar of Jalapeno Peppers that used to travel between the two houses. Maybe one pepper got eaten from that jar each Sunday. We joked about how they were the Traveling Jalapenos and I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to write a story about them and how they escaped from the Pepper jar? I thought they need to be a band and should travel around the country making music and doing good deeds. Within a year of that thought, the peppers became reality with the first book, The Traveling Jalapenos that focuses on homeless Veterans. With every book the Peppers grow in personality and adventure.”

The singer/songwriter/author is a published poet and writer for several popular publications and has several CD’s available on iTunes and Amazon under the name of Nolan Wilson. A large portion of book sales(http://www.amazon.com/dp/1514650525) and song downloads are being donated to the Halstead family.
