FlipBook Creator Standard and FlipBook Creator Professional now both feature a built-in speech engine and allow recorded audio to be imported into the program.

Users can also customize each audio sound added to a page. When a plug-in text-to-speech engine, such as Microsoft Speech SDK 5.1 or Cepstral Text-to-Speech is downloaded and installed, users just have to type the text directly into flipbooks to generate an audio file. An assistant, built into the flipbook creating software and located in the bottom right corner of the screen, will speak the words to provide an accurate narration.

Just a few simple steps are required to use the audio function. Users have to go to the “Assistant” tab and double click “Lily”. This is the voice that reads the text. Other voices appear as different file names if they have been imported from other text-to-speech programs or elsewhere. By implementing these simple steps, users can record and manage audio files, page by page, in their e-books, magazines, catalogs, manuals, reports, and more. The text users input accordingly will be that read by the voice chosen for the flipbook.
