Corporate Challenge Events offers 38 different team building programs including charity-based events, all of which can be tailored for the needs and objectives of all clients.

End Of Financial Year (EOFY) is bringing a greater focus on staff unity and acknowledgment as businesses build up to this peak period, according to Australian and New Zealand team building specialist Dwain Richardson.

The Managing Director of Corporate Challenge Events Richardson said the EOFY period brings a focus for many businesses not only on their finances but performance analysis, strategic planning and retail sales.

“Given the importance of this period for varied reasons, businesses are looking at different ways they can have their staff working at their optimum, working cohesively as a team and acknowledged for their contribution over the past year,” said Richardson.

“That is why end of financial year has become a great time for team building.”

Richardson said his company had identified two ‘stand out’ objectives for companies seeking team building activities during this EOFY period.

“One key objective for many companies is to invigorate their team in advance of a peak business period over EOFY.

“They want their team performing at a high level to drive last-minute sales and results, to think creatively and strategically, and to focus on finalising the financials for the year.

“A second objective is to reward their team for its results and contribution over the past financial year.

“Their staff have worked hard over the past 12 months to reach certain targets, so team building is a fun way of acknowledging and rewarding staff for their collective contribution.”

Richardson said team building events tailored specifically for each company were effective ways of achieving both objectives.

“Team building activities can freshen up your group and get them working in unison in a fun environment.

“If the focus for the business is on strategic planning, team building programs can also provide a different and novel approach for setting goals, strategies and creative plans for the year ahead.

“What also creates demand for team building activities is they can be designed for both short time frames such as 30 minutes to as long as a full day and longer if required.”

Richardson also highlighted that a popular and impactful way of using a team building event to reward and acknowledge staff over the EOFY period was by “giving back to the community”.

“If a company has its own charity or community organisation that it supports or wishes to support, a team building event can be designed to provide an outcome for that charity.

“It’s a good way for companies to focus on their Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, unify their team and do something that makes a difference for others less fortunate.”
