Anthony Tata is getting set to launch ‘Three Minutes to Midnight,’ the second book in the Jake Mahegan series. A former US Army Brigadier General and Public Official, he used his experience and writes realistic thrillers. ‘Three Minutes to Midnight’ follows Jake Mahegan, a Delta Force veteran as he tracks down a geologist who has been kidnapped. This new novel follows the hugely successful paperback, ‘Foreign and Domestic,’ that became a national bestseller. ‘Three Minutes to Midnight,’ is scheduled to launch in April 2016.

Anthony Tata spent 28-years in the military, retiring in 2009 as a Brigadier General for the U.S. Army. During his long and decorated career, he commanded combat units in the 10th Mountain Division and the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division. He has earned the Bronze Star Medal and the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, and many other honors, awards, and decorations. His experience has landed him on several popular news programs as a frequent foreign policy guest commentator. He has appeared on CBS News, Fox News, and CNN. His career transition from the military to education leadership was featured on NBC’s ‘Today Show.’

After his impressive military career, Anthony Tata entered the private sector and served as the Chief Operating Office at both the Washington, DC Public School System and the Wake County Public School System in North Carolina. He has also held the positions of North Carolina’s Secretary of Transportation and a senior managing partner at USA Investco, a multi-million-dollar commercial real estate, and logistics company.

Anthony Tata has written five other fiction novels. In 2008, he released ‘Sudden Threat’ the first in the Thriller series. This book went on to reach the Amazon and Barnes and Noble bestseller list. He followed it with the publication of ‘Rogue Threat,’ ‘Hidden Threat,’ ‘Mortal Threat,’ and ‘Foreign and Domestic,’ the first in his Jake Mahegan thriller series. ‘Foreign and Domestic’ reached number six on the bestseller list and was nominated for Deadly Pleasures Mystery Magazine’s Barry Award in 2016. A portion of his earnings goes to support The USO Metro DC, the North Carolina Heroes Fund, and the Michael Murray Foundation.
