Maximizer's most recent CRM software release has seen many improvements including rolling date range searches. These improvements allow for better reporting in both building lists and dashboards.

Sydney, NSW, Australia, August 13, 2013 -- In the recent Summer 2013 release, Maximizer’s search catalogue saw a number of improvements one of which is parameterized searches and an expansion of the rolling date ranges available when searching on a date field. Maximizer’s search catalogue is one of the most frequently- used features because of the sophistication in filtering out the required CRM data.

Rolling date ranges have benefited Maximizer CRM users for quite some time now. When performing an Advanced Search on a date field, specific dates can be selected for the search or a ‘rolling’ range can be selected like “Today,” “This Week,” or “Year to Date.” An example of how this function of Maximizer CRM can be advantageous in being able to search for all of the customer service cases with a follow up deadline of today. Further advantages include saving the advanced search within the search catalogue to ensure that the details will always be current and therefore the user can also avoid recreating the search criteria. The date ranges will be calculated relative to the search date and not the date when the entry was first saved.

With the release of Maximizer CRM 12 Summer 2013, the variety of rolling date ranges available for searching has been increased to include a wider assortment of ranges, including future date ranges. Ranges like “After Today” or “Next 90 Days” or “Next Fiscal Year” are now available. Many of the new options involve future date ranges, so that Maximizer clients can do forward-looking searches. With the addition of future date ranges it is now possible to do forward-looking searches which is especially useful when doing sales projections about upcoming opportunities, or when looking for customer service cases that are coming due.

Apart from just building lists for the Maximizer CRM entries, rolling date range searches are especially important when constructing dashboards in Maximizer, since most dashboard indicators are based on a saved search from the search catalogue. As the purpose of Maximizer’s dashboards is to give a quick, up-to-the-minute overview of Address Book data, rolling date ranges are a perfect fit when building the saved searches to use in dashboards. For example, dashboard indicators can displays the number of sales leads that have come in so far this year from a particular source. This is implemented by creating the appropriate lead source and with a creation date of “Calendar Year to Date”. Every time Maximizer CRM clients utilise the rolling date range features to populate the dashboard, the indicator will be up-to-date with the most current information.
