Jessica Ann Wachel is proud to be celebrating her life as a successful college and nursing student. She lives in San Marcos, Texas where she is attending school at Texas State University. More specifically, Jessica Ann Wachel is a student at the St. David’s School of Nursing. She is proud of the fact that she currently has a 3.55 GPA.

Jessica Ann Wachel is especially proud of this fact, as she knows just how challenging nursing school has been. However, Jessica Ann Wachel is grateful because she knows that she is attending one of the best colleges in the nation. Jessica Ann Wachel is one of the 35,000 students that attend Texas State University.

Before attending Texas State University, Jessica Ann Wachel did a great deal of research in order to determine if the school would be a good fit for her educational needs. Jessica Ann Wachel says, “I learned a lot about the school because I needed to make sure I was making the right choice for myself.”

Texas State is a large school with a robust list of educational options for their students. Jessica Ann Wachel learned that students could choose from a wide variety of degree programs at the school. This is inclusive of 96 bachelor’s programs, 86 master’s programs, and 12 doctoral programs.

Jessica Ann Wachel also learned about the history of the school as well. “I wanted to go to a school that had a history, as I’ve always felt that a school that has a good history is bound to be a good school as well,” says Jessica Ann Wachel.

Jessica Ann Wachel learned that the school was originally opened in 1903 as Southwest Texas State Normal School. Jessica Ann Wachel learned that the name of the school would change several more times throughout its long history. Each name change represented the growth that the school began to experience.

Jessica Ann Wachel learned that the school started out as a prep school for teachers, but grew into the multidisciplinary school that it is today. Jessica Ann Wachel is proud to be a student of Texas State, and she knows her experiences there will lead her to a promising future.
