When defense company Alion Science and Technology hired Alex Heidt to be their new Senior Vice President heading the Acquisition Programs Management Group, they knew they were getting the real deal. With 25 years’ experience in the industry, a proven track record of success, and a skill set unmatched in his field, Alex Heidt is a singular talent, with a mix of business savvy and professionalism hard to find anywhere these days.

For starters, Alex Heidt holds several degrees, including a JD and Masters of Finance, and also a BSBA from Strayer University, which recently named him an Alumni of the Year. His diverse and strong educational background has led to many high-level jobs during his career, landing him work with such companies as E-Systems Corp., Orbital Sciences Corp., Lockheed Martin, and Harris Corporation. In these positions Alex Heidt has consistently found new ways to foster growth, combining his talents for customer relations with his understanding of organizational dynamic, and turning them into new opportunities.

In addition to his skills driving business growth, Alex Heidt has a strong background as a top team builder, displaying effective management, hiring, and deployment of his team; seeking out and developing top talent; and keeping his team motivated to achieve optimum results at all times.

As a result, Alex Heidt has been the recipient of several awards, notably the Extra Mile Award from Orbital, and the President’s Award, MVP Award, and NOVA Award during his tenure at Lockheed Martin. Another salient feature of Alex Heidt’s personality, however, is that he never rests on his laurels. “I am always proud and humbled to be recognized,” he was quoted as saying, “but I never let it cloud my vision of achievement and greater success. Strayer University, where Alex Heidt earned his BSBA, recently recognized his achievements by naming him an Alumni of the Year for 2012. Alex Heidt’s achievements reflect well on those around him, as he is the type of person who lifts others up.
