Jeanette DiBella is pleased to announce that she has earned a variety of awards and accolades for her work in education. The awards are from a variety of educational organizations and reflect on her commitment to student learning and the improvement of urban schools across the country. She has also been offered adjunct faculty teaching positions to spread her knowledge to future education leaders.

Jeanette DiBella currently works as the principal of the Providence St. Mel School in Chicago, Illinois. She has held this position since 2000 and continues to improve the school every year through her oversight as a head member of faculty. She has a strong background in administrative work and teaching in urban organizations. Her leadership skills are tested and have proven highly effective.

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Education offered her the opportunity to teach in its doctoral program for Urban Educators from the years 2004 to 2006. Since then, Jeanette DiBella has earned a variety of other awards and accolades.

She won the Crystal Apple Award from the Michigan State University College of Education, was honored by the MMI Preparatory School in Pennsylvania as a distinguished Alumna, was given an Educator of the Year Award from the Phi Delta Kappa organization, and has even been interviewed on CNN.

Asked about her awards and accolades, Jeanette DiBella stated, "I certainly appreciate the awards and offers that have been given to me, but I don't let them distract me from my work. Students depend on me to always be at the best of my ability and awards or not I work for students first."
