Renowned spinal surgeon Dr. Atiq Durrani has a rich history of medical excellence.

Dr. Atiq Durrani has been practicing medicine for over fifteen years running now, and as a capstone to his distinguished career he was recently given the Award of Honor in Orthopedic Surgery by the National Institute of Medicine.

Dr. Atiq Durrani’s research into minimally invasive techniques for orthopedic care and spine wellness has long put him at the top of his field, earning him such accolades as being named to America’s Top Orthopedists and being named a Whitecloud Award Nominee for Best Clinical Paper. His research has shed light on such topics as intervertebral disc mapping, musculoskeletal oncology, MIS in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, MIS lumbar fusion, and more. His research findings have enabled him to develop treatment plans less invasive and more outpatient friendly than any others in the country, a feat of which Dr. Atiq Durrani is extremely proud.

“It has been my pleasure and privilege to have served in the medical community for as long as I have,” Dr. Atiq Durrani was quoted as saying. “I am humbled by the honors my colleagues have seen fit to bestow upon me, and hope to earn continued respect through tireless effort and diligence in attaining my medical goals.”

Dr. Atiq Durrani is the founder of two spinal treatment clinics and has several offices in the Ohio region, including new ones in Dayton and Columbus.

In addition to his work as a researcher and clinician, Dr. Atiq Durrani has been a valued presenter at medical conferences since the beginning of his career, recently giving talks at medical conferences in Chicago and Miami. He is often asked to present his findings on the latest minimally invasive surgical procedures, and relishes the opportunity to educate his peers and aspiring future orthopedists.

“The most humbling part about the honors I have received is that I still feel young,” the 45-year-old Dr. Atiq Durrani said. “I feel as though I have a whole lifetime, and a whole future ahead of me. If I can continue my research and practice for twenty more years, I can only imagine how much further I will be able to go.”
