HMRC defeated a complex tax avoidance scheme, mainly used by property developers and IT contractors, at Tribunal.

Burnham Resources, an outplacement consultancy that provides payroll staff to businesses in the UK, has recently released a news article about the HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) having defeated a complex tax avoidance scheme at Tribunal mainly used by property developers and IT contractors.

The Tribunal’s decision in favour of HMRC means that the property developers and IT contractors, who were the main users of the scheme, now collectively owe HMRC up to £200m unpaid tax.

More information about the Burnham Resources news article is available at http://www.burnhamresources.co.uk/hmrc-defeats-avoidance-scheme-in-tribunal/.

Burnham Resources hopes that this news article will urge business employers to keep up-to-date on all tax and payroll regulations by choosing the right payroll staff.
