ziqitza Healthcare Ltd. (ZHL), Asia’s largest private emergency medical service (EMS) provider responsible for 108 ambulance emergency services in Punjab, has successfully served over 44,000 patients across the region during the Covid surge.
Ziqitza operates a fleet of 270 ambulances — 245 with Basic Life Support and 25 with Advanced Life Support. It operates the 108 emergency service number with GPS-enabled ambulances and is professionally managed 24×7 through a centralised call centre. The centre is equipped with latest technology and infrastructure with trained manpower.
All patients were served relentlessly with strong support from the 24×7 centralised 108 call-centre through the Covid-19 surge, during which the team received about 27,000 emergency calls. A dedicated staff of over 1,500 professionals ensured that each case is managed well to reduce the turnaround time in all aspects, making the system more robust and efficient, catering to the urgent need for ambulance service to save precious lives during the deadly pandemic.
Among these frontline healthcare workers are the Ambulance Crew, who are the first to respond to Covid-19 patients, stabilising the latter on board or during transfers to designated isolation wards. Ziqitza ambulance crew members and helpline staff worked round the clock to transfer these patients with utmost care.
