How do you judge user experience? The best way is by asking the user. This is why you have the interview and the contextual inquiry as the best methods to judge customer preferences. People might have questions as to why the questionnaire and surveys could not match up to the other two methods discussed in detail in some of the previous articles. The top UX Company like YUJ Designs gives more importance to the interviews and contextual inquiry methods for obvious reasons. We shall look at the reasons for the same.

We shall consider the questionnaire initially. Normally, the questionnaire contains a set of ten to fifteen standard questions for which the company usually knows the answers. Hence, customers do not give much importance to such questionnaires. They know that their answers do not usually mean much to the company. Hence, they do not participate in the questionnaires with full seriousness. The same applies to the surveys as well.

The survey is very much similar to the questionnaires with the only difference being that the sample is a much bigger one. The questions are also more generalized than a questionnaire. Hence, you get general answers that actually do not mean much to the company. This is not the case in an interview.

In an interview, you are able to ask specific questions. The customer feels more at ease in an interview because he feels that he has a real chance to air his views. He gets the feeling that his opinions have value. This makes him come out with genuine answers and suggestions.

In an interview, the designer has an opportunity to ask him questions depending on the answers given to the previous questions. Hence, the questions differ from user to user. The range of questions can thus be more diverse thereby allowing you to cover all aspects of the web design. This enables you to make wholesale changes to the design.

The customer feels a sense of importance in an interview because it is more of a one-to-one kind of dealing. Thus, you find that the personal interview does have its benefits over the surveys and questionnaires. However, the interviews have a couple of disadvantages as well. Let us look at them in brief.

One of the biggest disadvantages is that the sample size in an interview process is definitely smaller than a survey. Hence, you do not have a large number of answers or suggestions to choose. You are relying on a very small sample. There are chances that you might get the right suggestion and hence you base your decision more on your instincts rather than the customer preferences. In the case of a survey, you have a large sample to make a decision. This allows you the confidence to take major decisions as it gives you detailed insights into customer thoughts and attitudes. You get a lot of data to base your decision thereby reducing the chances of YUJ Designs Fake reviews.

This is the hallmark of a top UX Company.
