Theodore Cavaliere graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY with a degree in Public Accounting. Hofstra University is the largest private college in Long Island, New York, and is an accredited institution of higher learning with programs ranging from liberal arts to sciences to business. Founded in 1935, Hofstra University is nonsectarian and has more than 100,000 alumni. Hofstra University is also a convenient 25 miles from New York City, and its proximity to the “business capital” of the United States ensures many networking opportunities for its students to explore career options following graduation.

Theodore Cavaliere reflects upon his college years with great appreciation for Hofstra University and the quality of education that he received there; he states that “my professors at Hofstra were really incredibly dedicated to their students’ education... I worked hard at my studies because I knew I couldn’t afford to slack off, and yet they always made my work engaging. I became very passionate about business and accounting and am really looking forward to working in accounting careers.” Theodore Cavaliere entered into Hofstra University unsure of what he planned to study, though he knew that he was interested in business; after attending an introductory accounting class in his first year, he realized that “I really wanted to have some concrete skills that would help me make valuable contributions to the company that I work for... and financial management is a very important skill in all sectors of one’s life. I’ve always been good with numbers, so it just made sense.”

Theodore Cavaliere, looking back at his years as a student, expressed gratitude about the student community at Hofstra. “I really met a lot of wonderful, hardworking and intelligent people,” he says, “and it’s really meaningful to me to be entering into a community of Hofstra alums. I know that this degree represents more to me than just accounting skills, though that’s very important to me as well.” Theodore Cavaliere wishes to thank all the friends, family, professors and mentors who made his four years at Hofstra University exceptional and his success there possible.
