San Francisco Art Dealer Mayer Flaks Believes in San Francisco SPCA

Mayer Flaks thinks others should donate to the San Francisco SPCA after he found a kitten while walking.

Mayer Flaks lives and works in San Francisco, California as an art dealer. Most of his world focuses and revolves around the world of art. He attends many art festivals both in San Francisco and other locations around the United States. Besides working as an art dealer, Mayer Flaks enjoys taking walks along the edge of the San Francisco bay.

It was in the early part of 2013, Mayer Flaks was the savior of a small cat he found while taking one of his routine walks. "I saw the kitten and decided to wait a while to see if anyone would claim the cat or if its mother would show up. After waiting a while, it was apparent to me it was alone so I took it home," says Mayer Flaks.

Being the caring and responsible individual he always is, Mayer Flaks promptly made an appointment to ensure the health and safety of the kitten. "I wasn't really sure what to do with the kitten so the night I found it I gave it a can of tuna. At the vet, I learned it was a male kitten and he was in good health," says Mayer Flaks.

Mayer Flaks promptly adopted the healthy little kitten that he affectionately named Milo da Vinci. Adopting the small cat called to attention the need to care for dogs and cats homeless or in need of care in the United States. "After adopting Milo it seemed like whenever I turned on the television I couldn't help but notice the commercials advocating for donations to support animals," says Mayer Flaks.

Mayer Flaks knows that anyone who wants to can go online to the San Francisco SPCA website in order to make a charitable donation. "The site is very user friendly and they have different donation options such as monthly or a single donation. I have not personally made a donation," says Mayer Flaks. Donations will help the San Francisco SPCA improve the lives of cats and dogs by providing veterinary care, spaying and neutering animals, and increase efforts to assist in animal adoptions.
