The CoStar Group, Inc. provides the CoStar Power Broker award to both individual brokers and brokerage firms that demonstrate excellence in real estate in over 90 markets across the United States. Award winners represent a number of regional markets. The award is given in the areas of sales and leases. The sales aspect of the award relates to the volume of sales during the year and profits earned. The lease section is based on the square footage of deals and the number of closed leases in the year. Recipients of the CoStar Power Broker award can be involved in either the sales or lease side. If the recipient represents both sides, their entries will be counted twice.

Terry Baltes has a long history in the real estate field and has closed sales worth several billion dollars during his career.
