Her company has been such a success that Sheela Jane Rao was proud to announce that in addition to her own personal award, the business received a grant donation meant for a charitable cause. With this funding, Sheela Jane Rao believes a lot of difference can be made. It appears that the charitable cause has already been chosen: to help victims of domestic violence. Sheela Jane Rao stated this decision was quite easy as she has an attachment to these charities and is a proud member of Breaking the Silence.

Breaking the Silence is an inspiring non-profit that encourages victims of domestic abuse to break the silence and get their lives back in their own control rather than in the hands of their abuser(s). Sheela Jane Rao is a major supporter of this organization and has influenced many others to get involved as well in their own ways.
