In the context of our education system in India, class 10 holds special importance. It is the first milestone for all the students on the path of their educational trajectory.

 
Diploma courses are one of the most popular and evergreen career options for students who want to pursue professional courses with engineering orientation. It is offered in various streams such as civil, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, architecture and mining among the others. Course duration for most of the streams is 3 years, but in architecture stream, it is generally offered for 4 year duration. After successful completion of the diploma programs, eligible candidates are placed in suitable job profiles such as junior engineer, draftsman and supervisor. It also has scope in government job openings in the state as well as central government level. Experienced diploma holders also create huge demand in overseas nations also if they pass through their selection criteria.
ITI training institutes offer relatively short term hands on training programs in various disciplines that develop employability skills among individuals. ITI institutes are government sponsored and recognized institutes. Students who pass through ITI course appear in All India Trade Test that is conducted by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training). After passing this AITT test, a candidate is awarded “National Trade Certificate”. This certificate of paramount importance who wants to join the industry and start a career as soon as after passing matriculation. Duration of the Courses on offer is of one year to three years, depending upon the stream selected.
