Every week I hear my wife scream at me to "Just watch the game upstairs". Being a professional procrastinator it takes awhile for me to fix stuff around the house. Sometimes I will get started on a simple project and then go back to it a month later. The leaking faucet took me six months to fix. My wife gets mad at me for taking so long. Watching the game upstairs would not be too bad. There is room for all the guys to hang out. So maybe this week I will have the project fixed.
All I have to do is run the cable upstairs. Seems like an easy enough job. Punch some holes in the floor and route the cable. Well I need some bnc female connectors apparently to connect the cables together. This will make the cable longer instead of buying another hundred feet of cable. The bnc female connectors can be used for other projects as well. Calling all around town seems like an easier task than driving all over town to find these connectors. After three hours of calling I finally find some bnc female connectors at the local cable store.
Twenty minute ride to the cable store and I have some bnc female connectors. The connectors worked out real good. Cable is routed now and there is still time before the game to fix the room up for the guys. The former sewing room is now the man cave. Beer taps in place, couch moved, wall decor and large screen television make the final conversion. The wall decor before was flower pictures and teddy bears. This is something I am sure the guys would have not enjoyed. Maybe I should do more projects like this. Maybe I can make me an office upstairs now.
The bnc female connectors that I had to pick up were first invented by the military in 1951. The bnc female connector is used for various applications like analog and serial digital interface video signals, amateur radio antennas, aerospace electronics and test equipment. The connector was invented by Paul Neil and Carl Concelman. Paul Neil had invented the N connector as well and the C connector was invented by Carl Concelman. The bnc female connector is named after the style of connector it is. It has a bayonet locking collar on it. The bnc is Bayonet Neil-Concelman.
So now my wife can be happy and I can "Just Watch the Game Upstairs. It is actually really nice. The guys enjoy the room. Sometimes it is hard for them to go home after the game even if there is no snack left. Hopefully my office project will turn out as nice as this room did. This will probably require me to use some more bnc female connectors to run the necessary cables to that room. The office will have to have some form of television in there to watch while working in there. There is always a good baseball game on or even a hockey game.
