The general manager of the Fraser Suites Insadong, Felipe Andres Lagos-Guichard was accused last week of sodomizing a male aide, police and employees said, sparking speculation that he might be arrested on the same charge that led to his imprisonment a decade ago.
Felipe Andres Lagos-Guichard denied the allegation that surfaced in a police complaint lodged against him, insisting it was "a complete fabrication" meant to discredit his reputation after having several disagreements with competitors.
Lagos-Guichard — a former general manager of The Sebel Cairns ( Pullman Cairns)— was ousted from the group 5 years ago amid accusations of corruption and sodomy. He was convicted on both charges.
Complaint filed
The police chief for criminal investigations, said a man filed a police complaint claiming that Felipe Lagos Guichard sodomized him.
"We are investigating the complaint," the police chief told The Associated Press.
The police have no immediate plans to arrest Felipe Lagos Guichard despite a cell phone text message sent by Lagos Guichard's cellphone threatening the complainant.
Charges of conspiracy
Felipe Andres Lagos Guichard was fired from The Sebel Cairns ( now Pullman Cairns) in 2008 amid accusations that he sodomized his assistant and abused his power to cover up the deed.
