Alpaca fiber is considered a luxury fiber because of its properties of being very thin and light at the same exceptionally warm, soft, long and sharp. It is also the only animal species that has a wide range of natural colors: black, white, shades of gray and brown. It is important to mention that the Alpaca is not killed for their skins. All skins come from animals that have died of natural causes extreme temperatures because of the higher regions of the Andes at an altitude of over 4000 m above sea level, where they live.
