Environmental educator Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon announces her intention to continue developing programming and teaching kids and adults about the environment.

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon is pleased to announce that she remains dedicated to teaching kids and adults about the environment through creative teaching methods and engaging programming. For many years, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has been leading immersive and experiential environmental education programs to unite people with the environment around them, and she shows no signs of stopping.

“I can’t image a more enriching or fulfilling line of work,” commented Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon. “Bringing kids and adults into the natural world and allowing them to truly experience it is an incredibly rewarding thing for me. It’s my life’s mission, really, to help people understand that they are not alone, that they are, in fact, part of this larger whole that we need to take care of and protect.”

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Education and Interpretation through an Individualized Studies program. Since then, Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has worked in a number of capacities, honing her pedagogical practice and developing environmental enrichment programming that engages participants and gets them excited about nature. Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has consulted for professionals in a diverse mix of communities as well and has sat on advisory boards such as Back To Natives, Shipley Nature Center’s Education Commitee and OC Wild. Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has even published a book for Neighborhood House’s of Milwaukee, on the topic, compiling a volume of environmental education activities called “Nature Time: Activities for Early Childhood, Classroom, and After School Nature Exploration.” This book is still being used as curriculum.

“This isn’t an area where I think my commitment would ever wane,” said Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon. “I think getting to know the environment more personally is one of the most important things that people can do to enrich their lives and feel more at peace in the world. I’m very excited to continue teaching and consulting, to continue learning and getting to know the communities that I work in and to help build them up into something that people want to be emotionally invested in.”

Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon has received multiple honors for her educational work, including recognitions from the USDA Forest Service, Santa Barbara City College, CA State Park’s Leo Carillo EcoKids Nature Camp. Rainbow Wulfeck Pharaon looks forward to many more successful years of creatively uniting people with their environment.
