Two Summer Internships as an Assistant Completed by Eric Butera of Utah

Eric Butera of Utah cares greatly for his community and helping people. His two internships involved him assisting people in need of help.

 
Eric Butera of Utah is a man of many skills and talents. His background and education includes courses in medical training, human resources, motor vehicle operation, and leadership. Eric Butera of Utah is familiar with construction work. He was contracted for construction and metal working. His life took another direction in 2007, when he received his commercial driver license with endorsements MNPT. He performed short and long hauls.

After Eric Butera of Utah’s honorable discharge from the United States Army in 2007, he returned to school. Eric Butera of Utah previously completed an Associates of Science degree at Salt Lake Community College in 2001, while he served the military. After his discharge, Eric Butera of Utah made the decision to turn his associate’s degree into a bachelor’s degree.

Eric Butera of Utah was accepted to The University of Utah. He decided to major in Parks, Recreation and Tourism. As a student, Eric Butera of Utah knew his chances as a potential employee would look better with internship experience. In the summer of 2012 and 2013, Eric Butera of Utah participated in internships.

In the summer of 2012, “I completed a small internship as an assistant for helping disabled veterans,” says Eric Butera of Utah. His internship hit close to home because as a former member of the military, Eric Butera of Utah could relate with many of the veteran’s stories.

Eric Butera of Utah completed a second internship during the summer months of 2013. Compared to his previous experience as an assistant, his 2013 internship was far more demanding and personal. “It was a long internship. I completed 480 hours that summer as a personal assistant to a business owner that was legally blind,” says Eric Butera of Utah. Even more tragic than their disability, the blindness was due to domestic violence.

With two internships and his courses completed, Eric Butera of Utah proudly completed his degree in 2013. He looks forward to building upon his degree and starting a successful career for himself. His hope is to find work related to his area of study. Eric Butera of Utah’s advice for any veteran is to not be afraid to return to school and work to find a dream career.
