Old Boatyard in Arbroath is a prestigious seaside restaurant located in Angus, Scotland. Old Boatyard in Arbroath partnered with the Angus Council to build the Arbroath Harbour Visitor Center. The Harbour Visitor Centre will be a showpiece of the regeneration project to transform the harbour into a key tourist attraction for both visitors and residents. The completed project will be worth £1.8 million and house a multimedia visitor information and orientation center managed by Old Boatyard in Arbroath, VisitScotland, Art on the Quay, and the St. James Place Partnership.

The owner of the Old Boatyard in Arbroath is excited for the restaurant’s new venture and spoke about the new Harbour Visitor Centre: “The team at Old Boatyard is excited to be a part of the building of the Harbour Visitor Centre. I think all the locals take pride in the beauty of Arbroath, and we want more people to experience all the great things about this area. I really think the building of this new complex will help renew the city and bring more tourists each year. That is something I am looking forward to.”

The Harbour Visitor Centre is sure to create more traffic to the Arbroath area. The city just built a new roundabout from the dual carriageway that will give direct access from the town center. The team at Old Boatyard in Arbroath is excited for new visitors around the city. The owner of Old Boatyard in Arbroath stated, “I am preparing our team for new crowds of people. We have adapted our menu to suit the tastes of almost any individual. We want to make each person’s experience in Arbroath a positive one, and the best way we can do that is to ensure they have a positive dining experience at our establishment.”

The final phase of the regeneration initiative is now under way. The city is installing pedestrian walkways, visitor signage, improved seating, lighting, and public artwork. The project was completed in 2006. If you would like more information on the Harbour Visitor Centre or the city of Angus, visit www.angusahead.com.
