Mark Giannini of Memphis is former Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Assurance/Outsource IT, which he founded in 1989 and built into the largest IT service provider in the Mid South. During his business career he has been the recipient of a "Top 40 Under 40" award from the Memphis Business Journal, which also named him its Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997. That same year, Entrepreneur Magazine named him one of the Top 500 Entrepreneurs in the United States.

He also says that books are way more interesting than any TV show or movie. And one of the reasons for that is that reading spurs the imagination in ways that no visual medium can. Reading is also a more personal and interactive exchange between the reader and the book.
