“This is such an exciting honor,” says Madeline McGartlin. “I wasn’t looking for any sort of recognition or anything like that. I was simply doing my job.” Since graduating with her PHR Certification from the University of Texas in 2005, Madeline McGartlin has forged a highly successful career path that has allowed her to work closely with many businesses and organizations.

When it comes to recruiting and placing talent, Madeline McGartlin focuses on the personal qualities of each individual. “There are always going to be qualified and experienced candidates,” Madeline McGartlin explains. “While it’s important to find someone who’s qualified, you also want to find people that will be a good fit at a particular organization. Each business has its own culture. You want the people you place to fit into that culture and thrive in it – or that’s what I focus on, at least.”

Aside from recruiting, Madeline McGartlin plays many roles in her most recent role as Assistant Vice President of Staffing for Guarantee Bank. “Working in human relations goes far beyond recruitment,” says Madeline McGartlin. “I love doing it all.”

In her various experiences, Madeline McGartlin has managed payroll, built new business relationships, evaluated and managed employees, trained new recruits, overseen benefits, and much more. “Getting to work in different parts of the HR field has given me insight into the types of candidate that you want to recruit and hire,” says Madeline McGartlin. Though she’s a highly successful business professional, Madeline McGartlin places her priorities on family and friends. She is highly involved in the greater Austin, Texas community as an active member of the Ballet Austin Guild, a volunteer with MADD, and much more.
