Jennifer Verhaeghe has been studying for many years to fulfill her dream of becoming a registered nurse. After completing her bachelor's degree in nursing, Jennifer Verhaeghe has gone on to complete her certification to become a registered nurse. While completing her certification to become a registered nurse, Jennifer Verhaeghe needed to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. This national exam is required in all states for anyone wishing to be a registered nurse.

We recently caught up with Jennifer Verhaeghe and asked her about her new position at a local hospital. “I am so happy to be fulfilling my dream of becoming a nurse. I have worked so hard to finish school and now have the opportunity to do what I love. Helping people through a difficult time of their life is what I enjoy doing. I am so excited about beginning my new career at the hospital and look forward to many years of caring for patients." What Jennifer Verhaeghe is still not sure of, is what unit of the hospital she would like to specialize in. She is looking forward to the experience of working in a hospital setting and will begin her career in the emergency room, followed by rotations in pediatrics, geriatrics, and also in the local burn unit. Jennifer Verhaeghe will have the opportunity, after her rotations, to decide what she would like to specialize in as a registered nurse.

Registered nurses like Jennifer Verhaeghe provide more than just medical care; they also provide emotional support to patients and their families and education on how to care for the patient after they are released from the hospital. Jennifer Verhaeghe has been working hard for the last several years to complete her certification to become a registered nurse. She has always dreamed of working at the hospital and with patients.
