Quality of kitchenware is determined by material of which the kitchen equipment is made, depending on material, cookware can have different thermal conductivity and can be made to be non sticky.

Cookware is essential part of restaurant equipment and comprises of cooking utensils, such as frying pans and cooking pots. Restaurant equipment can be made of materials such as aluminum, copper, iron and stainless steel.

Dishware is used for serving food and dining, it can include cutlery and glassware. It is also referred as dinnerware or crockery. Dishware can be made of ceramic and less commonly kitchenware is made of wood, silver, gold or glass. Kitchen equipment used for serving drinks, or dink ware, includes wine glasses, water glasses, beer steins, whiskey tumblers.

The amount and kind of restaurant equipment depends on kind of service and menu a restaurant is offering. Whatever the menu, kitchenware should be of high quality to ensure smooth operation and food safety and quality of service to the customers.

To ensure proper food storage, every restaurant should have freezers for food storage; they come in different sizes depending on the quantity of food in need of storage. One of the most important parts of kitchen equipment is washing equipment; it is integral part of every kitchen because it ensures good hygiene and is also required to be of high quality by local health departments.
