Juli zusätzlich die nächste Runde mit Einladungen gestartet wird.Abgesehen von der sehr spärlichen Verfügbarkeit des Smartphones, ist das OnePlus One eines der besten derzeit verfügbaren Android-Smartphones. Das Display bietet auf einer Diagonale von 5,5 Zoll eine Auflösung von 1.920 x 1.080 Pixel und wird von einem 2,5 GHz starken Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core angetrieben. Diesem stehen 3 GB Arbeitsspeicher zur Verfügung und je nach Modell 16 oder 64 GB interner Flash-Speicher. Dieser ist fest verbaut und lässt sich nicht mit einer Speicherkarte erweitern. Die rückseitige Kamera löst mit 13 Megapixeln auf und besitzt ein Objektiv mit sechs Linsen. Als Betriebssystem kommt CyanogenMod 11S zum Einsatz.

Die genaue Ursache für das Problem ist derzeit noch unbekannt. LG ist bereits fieberhaft auf der Suche nach dem Verursacher und schließt weder einen Software- noch einen Hardware-Fehler komplett aus. Sollte es lediglich ein Fehler in der Firmware des LG G3 sein, dann ließe sich das Problem mit einem einfachen OTA-Update beheben. Liegt die Ursache für das spontane Ausschalten des Smartphones jedoch in der Hardware, könnte es sehr teuer werden für LG, da dann möglicherweise Tausende von Geräten ausgetauscht werden müssten.In manchen Fällen lässt sich das LG G3 überhaupt nicht mehr einschalten, es sei denn man entfernt kurz den Akku und setzt ihn wieder ein. Erst danach lässt sich das Gerät wieder korrekt einschalten und benutzen, bis der Fehler das nächste Mal auftritt. In den bekanntesten Online-Communities wie Android-Hilfe, PocketPC.ch und den XDA Developers haben sich zahlreiche Käufer eines LG G3 bereits zu Wort gemeldet. Während unseres ausführlichen Reviews ist uns dieses Problem bei unserem Testgerät zumindest bisher nicht begegnet.Da LG bisher die Ursache für dieses Phänomen nicht gefunden hat, rät der Support des Unternehmens in den meisten Fällen zu einem Hardware-Tausch im Rahmen der gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Garantie. Das in Südkorea verkaufte Modell des LG G3 scheint den bisherigen Aussagen jedenfalls nicht betroffen zu sein, sodass die Hoffnung auf ein reines Software-Problem besteht. Wann mit einem möglichen Firmware-Update zu rechnen ist kann jedoch niemand sagen.
