recent press meet held in the city.

Ketomac is fundamentally composed of Ketoconazole which is used for applying topically as a broad
spectrum synthetic anti-fungal agent in a concentration of 2% in a cream/ shampoo base. Ketoconazole
is an azole fungal which works by preventing the growth of fungus. It is in the family of drugs like,
Itraconazole, Miconazole and Fluconazole.

Ketoconazole works by killing fungi on skin called as Malassezia. Such fungi occur naturally on skin but
those suffering from dandruff seem to have excess of Malassezia. The medicated anti dandruff
shampoo India called as Ketomac, interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol, a crucial component of
fungal cell membranes. Thus fungal cell membranes are weakened with holes appearing in them. The
weak cell membranes permit contents of fungal cells to leak out, causing their death.

the condition of dandruff. It treats itching, scaling, flaking and also inflammation caused by dandruff. It
