The first edition took place on 27 December, 2007 and continued for two days. In these two days the festival organizers drew a huge number of people from Mande and from the neighborhood places to witness the expressed cultural and artistic feelings of their country. It is said that the sole aim of this festival of Mande is to build up a social cohesion and contribute to bring an enduring peace and at the same time empowering the social integration of siby.

“The Association for the Promotion of Culture in Mandé has contributed a lot in assisting the refugees to mingle with the present Mande culture through this intentional festival”, said one of the regular visitors of the fescauri festival. Every forms of art like music, dance is displayed to spread the cultural education to each Mande people and unite them in one single thread. Thus the festival is continuing to bring the people of Mande within one social sphere. Thus the festival is enriching the social entity of Mande and acts as the clairvoyance of this entity.

The 7th edition of Fescauri Festival will be a tribute to the womanhood of Africa who has shown their guts to create their identity without having the centre power in the society. “This is truly a notable contribution of the African women to their own lives and we want to reward this in our next edition of Fescauri”, said the Chief Organizer of Fescauri, the most important cowry festival.

The report says that the Festival of Fescauri does not have any Govt. financial support. It is the joint venture of the Individual and corporate sponsors of mali who have contributed a lot in the previous editions and will contribute in the next edition. This cultural celebration has developed the local financial state of the region. As per the survey it will improve the entire economical condition of Africa.
