Joe Tutera has spent three successful years at Pembroke High, becoming a leader of the student community. After a brief selection process, he is set to become Class President of his peers, an honor he intends to take very seriously

Joe Tutera is set to become president of the 1981 senior class at Pembroke Country Day High School, a recognition he earned after a very short selection process. As one of the leaders of the local student community and an individual with a high character, he spent three very successful years at Pembroke High, doing extremely well both in the classroom environment and the football field where he become captain. Being selected to lead the local Titans was an honor that foreshadowed additional leadership roles, making him one of the best candidates for this recognition.

As a vocal young man who always puts the local student community first, he will have an excellent chance to put his leadership skills to use and help his fellow school mates by being their voice. His duties as a class president will include a wide variety of responsibilities. Class meetings will be one of the priorities, as it is important for a class president to gather the senior class together for at least a handful of meetings throughout their final high school year. As the president, Joe Tutera will provide the student agenda for the administrators, as well as gathering relevant information that can propel the student cause.

Other roles and responsibilities may include the oversight and organization effort of certain extracurricular activities, including various important senior events like the prom, the class trip or the graduation itself. The Class President may work with or without additional school officers during these organizing efforts. If the leaders of the school find the president worthy of the responsibility, he might get the ceremony master duties for the graduation celebrations. Additional senior class president duties include being a good role model for the student faculty a well. To show a good example, one needs to do well academically, provide great contributions to the institution at other areas, in addition to being a socially responsible member of the school.

Joe Tutera cannot wait to take on the responsibilities that come with being the Senior Class President, and he hopes that together with his fellow students, they will be able to propel their cause in an effective way.
