The Holy Month of Ramadan calls for niceties to be exchanged and an aura of peace to be established throughout the country. On a warm Sunday in the locality of Karachi, JS Bank arranged an Iftar Dinner at a hotel to mark the Ramadan calendar with a whiff of spirituality and longing togetherness. The Bank is proud to maintain a long standing tradition of hosting Iftar for various public figures, their employees and from time to time distinguished guests. In addition to honouring the religious festivity of Ramadan, a screening of the ICC Champions’ Trophy final between Pakistan and India was also arranged. Much to the surprise of the attendees at the hotel, the win against India added to the frivolous celebrations of Ramadan and a sumptuous dinner to help reincarnate our triumphant circumstance at an optimal level. No one could have predicted such an outcome on such a day of faith and perseverance, yet the many prayers of our fasting citizens certainly added to the surprise consistency in Pakistan’s batting/bowling order. Alas, what a day!

In the beginning, Ali Jahangir Siddiqui welcomed and congratulated all friends and guests on the grand occasion of Pakistan’s win over India and of course the religious ethnicity taught by the Holy Month of Ramadan. He prayed and hoped for a better future for Pakistan and a tremendous praise for the Pakistani team for lightening up the difficult fasting period.

Head of Marketing Imran Haleem Shaikh was amongst the attendees at the dinner table; he proclaimed the virtues of Ramadan and hoped that the prayers of all Pakistanis be answered for a better and fruitful future. He stated his wish for a just and equal system in all aspects of the country’s proceedings and in the end praised the assemblage for coming together under the umbrella of Ramadan.

JS Bank collaborates with Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation, which is one of the biggest charitable organizations currently operating in Pakistan. Every year, this foundation partners with JS Bank and organizes daily Iftar at selective branches nationwide for the less fortunate. The program initiates throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, helping and feeding thousands of needy people every year.

JS Bank is one of the fastest growing banks in Pakistan, with 307 branches in 152 cities including one international branch. JS Bank is part of JS Group, one of Pakistan’s most diversified and progressive financial services groups.
