Mit immerhin 80 Wattstunden fällt der Akku des neuen ultrakompakten Workstation-Notebooks von Lenovo auf den ersten Blick riesig aus, zumal es sich um ein derart kompakt gebautes Gerät handelt. Möglich wird das geringe Gewicht vor allem durch die Leichtbauweise unter Verwendung von Carbon und verschiedenen Verbundstoffen.

Betrachtet man die enorme Leistung der hier verbauten CPUs mit ihrer maximalen Verlustleistung von bis zu 45 Watt scheint Lenovos Angabe von 13 Stunden Laufzeit allerdings schon fast wieder zu optimistisch. Das ganze Flugzeug wäre gefährdet
Neue Untersuchungen der US-Bundesluftfahrtbehörde, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, haben jetzt ergeben, dass schon ein überhitzter Akku ein ganzes Flugzeug in Flammen aufgehen lassen kann, wie das Portal Bloomberg berichtet. Die Aufsichtsbehörden waren bislang davon ausgegangen, dass ein spezielles flammenhemmendes Gas, das in den Laderäumen von Passagierflugzeugen benutzt wird, brennende Akkus löschen würde.
