National Institute of Creative Communication, Bangalore, had successfully received its long awaited affiliation with the European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA) under the tireless endeavour of Akash Rose. Now, it has proved to be a titanic milestone in the course of the journey of this pioneer institute of design studies.

This institute is presently offering excellent exposure to students looking forward to working in international designing and advertising companies.
The ELIA is the primary network organization of major arts and designing colleges. With this affiliation, NICC’s qualifications are being accepted by elite art colleges across pan-European countries and all other major six continents. It is the first Indian design college to have found place in the ELIA body.

Around 80-82% of their students have tasted a vista of international opportunities, with placements in their desired work sector. Following this prestigious association, Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan, Italy has also declared scholarship grants for NICC students which further accelerates their chances of a greater career.

“It is only because of Dr. Akash K Rose that our college is attaining such great heights. We feel extremely proud and fortunate to have him as our faculty head!” quoted an enthusiastic student of Visual Communication.

Akash Rose is a worldwide acclaimed digital imaging consultant and has extensively worked with the Govt. of India as a consulting technologist. His achievements have traversed his own forte and have reached across fields of advertising, robotics, telemedicine, programming software and video communication. His colleagues confessed that his international fame and recognition has immensely contributed towards establishing such a prestigious association and advancement.

“This will help in broadening the horizons of our students’ knowledge in the field of designing, photography and advertising,” states a faculty member of NICC.

When asked what this means for the students, a final year student added, “It is a huge step as we will no more be limited to national brands. Now our aim is to crack interviews and admissions in international companies and colleges.”

The management and administration has further ventures planned for the institute. Students received confirmation that Dr. Akash Kumar Rose is trying to organize more students’ exchange programs with foreign universities. The institute will be focusing more on enhancing skills of their students organizing interacting session to prepare them.

According to Dr. Rose, “such projects will allow interaction and interchange of ideas and concepts between NICC students and those from international universities affiliated with ELIA.”

This is the most significant initiative by the institute that opens doors for future global ties. Apart from ELIA, NICC is also a member of ICSID or International Council of Societies of Industrial Design which is presently known as WDO or World Design Organization. The institute also associates itself with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Prior to ELIA, Canon India and Tata Elxsi made NICC India an official training centre for their industrial training and photography.

Such a step will surely take NICC to the zenith of its achievements. The institution’s contribution towards this country is expected to shape a new career for aspiring candidates. Dr. Akash K Rose says, they are looking forward to more global tie-ups for their students.
