Vehicles on the road rely on Wheels which consists of a steel Rim and rubber layer on outside called Tire so where the proverbial rubber comes in contact with the road which makes the Car move smoothly while navigating on road.

Car Tires are typically made out of rubber as it provides cushioned support for the weight of your Car, Traction control for moving and stopping, along with a replaceable barrier between Rim and road. The section that comes into contact with the road is called the tread area as it contains grooves and notches that increase the friction for proper road grip and force water or debris away from the car Wheels while driving in harsh road conditions. Tires are filled with pressurized air to provide the cushion support and you must fill them to a certain number of pounds per square inch (psi) depending on the type of Car and type of rubber used in manufacturing the tire. Most Car Tire Companies list specifications on the wall of the Tires.

A tube is used to maintain constant air pressure in the Car Tire. The carcass is an inner layer that protects the tube that contains the high-pressure air and supports vertical load with a thick rubber that is attached to the parts that meet the road to withstand exterior damage and wear. Tread patterns are chosen according to Car manufacturer and safety demands.
The Wheel Rim is the skeletal body of the Tire as it supports the rubber tire, which wraps around it, and houses the Wheel Hub. Typically made out of strong metals such as steel and aluminum, Car Rims come in various shapes and sizes, a standard Tire Rim has plastic hubcaps on it. The width and diameter of the Rim determines the size of Tires it can fit into, though some Racing Tires are wider or more narrow than the Rim which are custom made. Even some custom made Wheel Rims provide coloring, style and size options but can cost more to balance, refit or repair on a long run.

The Wheel Hub is the central part of the Wheel that attaches the entire Wheel to the axle and the Braking system of your Car. The central part of the Wheel Hub serves as the port for the axle and sits in the center of the bolt circle, a series of five holes that house the bolts to which lug nuts attach that hold the Car Wheel. The Brake Rotors and Hub assemblies rest against the Wheel Hub so as Brakes are applied, action occurs against the Wheels to make the Car slow down or stop totally.

Most of the fashionable Car Wheels are expected to have relatively short life cycles, the expertise the engineer needs to put into production places emphasis on the ability to manufacture them economically in small volumes which normally precludes using the most recent high tech manufacturing methods to design it. Car Wheel style is usually the first consideration when selecting new after market model as most Car Wheels are purchased for their different factory styling which personalizes the Car's looks to match the Car Rider's tastes. While all wheel styles do evolve from time to time, there are some classic Car Wheel designs that are almost timeless, including some of the basic Five Spoke, Six Spoke and Cross Spoke designs which are always into consideration and trending. According to improvements in Automobile engineering and the diversification of usage, the capabilities of tires are becoming more complex and diversified.
