Purpose built for law enforcement device leapfrogs others in price and features.

Roswell, Georgia (October 19, 2012) – Primal USA, LLC, the Purveyors of the largest assortment of purpose built body worn video systems for Law Enforcement and Public Safety, today introduced the DutyCAM 1 DVR body worn camera. Aimed at meeting demands for a video evidence gathering device that goes beyond that of In-Car Video Systems. Law enforcement agencies have shifted from outfitting their police vehicles with video to putting tiny recorders on their officers.

The DutyCAM 1 leapfrogs all current body worn video cameras by offering the option for using an external covert or overt camera and offering embedded IR emitters that enhances recording in low or no light situations. “ We developed the next generation BWV (Body Worn Video) camera to address “Chain of Custody” issues for agencies” stated Keshia Howell, Product Evangelist for Primal USA.

“We found that agencies wanted to have a choice of models and features in selecting their body worn video solutions. The competition would only give them one model tied to specifications and features of that engineering effort. Primal USA is the single source that gives Law Enforcement and Public Safety organizations a diverse choice in price and features,” added Ms. Howell.

The DutyCAM 1 is slightly larger than a standard business card and comes with a choice of 16GB or 32GB internal storage. What makes the DutyCAM 1 one of the most advanced body worn video recorders is the large cache of advanced features such as 15 second pre event recording, optional GPS logging, external camera options, display of the agency and officers name over the video and individual ID numbers for each camera.

Recorded video evidence files can be quickly transferred to the agency’s server or PC via USB cable or the removable SD Media card. Playback of video and audio recordings can be achieved using standard media players such as Microsoft’s Media Player or VideoLAN (VLC) software. The unit’s 2400 mA lithium ion battery is removable, rechargeable, and lasts up to 18 nonstop hours. All products in the DutyFLASH Series are covered by a 1 year full parts and labor warranty.

When it comes to quality, the DutyCAM 1 offers true HD with a whopping 1920 x 1080P video image. There is the option to output video directly to a TV monitor via an optional cable ending the need for a PC to view files.
