Kirana, one of Australia’s finest training institutions, provides accessible training and education to Australians through its Future Skills WA-funded courses.

[WA, 11/21/2014] – Kirana, a registered training organisation (RTO) in Australia, offers training programs funded by the government initiative Future Skills WA. These course additions serve as a way to make quality education more accessible to Australians.

Available Courses

The Future Skills WA subsidies cover eight courses from Kirana; five of which are certificate courses, and three of which are diploma programs.

One subsidised course is the Certificate II in Warehousing Operations program, which opens opportunities in the transport and logistics industry.

For those who want to venture into aged care, Kirana offers Certificate III and Certificate IV programs in the said field. An alternative for this would be the Certificate III in Disability, which is also part of the Future Skills WA subsidy.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, as well as its diploma course counterpart, also merits subsidies from the WA government. The same applies for Kirana’s Diploma of Management program.

Eligibility and Subsidies

In terms of eligibility, all Australian citizens can qualify for a funded training. Kirana also extends visa holders, mainly to those who have a permanent visa. Nonetheless, holders of subclasses 851, 826, 820, 310, and 309 and dependents of visa subclass 457 primary holders may also secure a spot.

The subsidies may reach nearly 50% of the total cost for concessional students. Kirana clarifies that current Student tuition fees may change during enrolment depending on certain individual circumstances.

Future Skills WA Initiative

Future Skills WA is the local government’s answer to the growing economy of the area. With the ever-changing job outlooks in WA, the government saw it fit to invest in training people to fill jobs that have – or will have – high demand. This has paved the way for the existence of Future Skills WA, which ensures subsidised training throughout the State.
