Liam Livingstone who played the IPL 2019 for the Rajasthan Royals franchise will not be a part of the IPL 2020 Auction as he was released by the franchise for the upcoming season, nut before the auction he has decided that he will not take part in the next year Indian Premier League season. The England Cricket Team player is expecting his return to England's Test side and for that he will be a part of the full season of Division One County Cricket.

Liam Livingstone was purchased by Rajasthan Royals at his base price of INR 50 lakh in the IPL 2019 Auction. He played 4 matches for RR in Indian Premier League 2019 and made 71 runs.

Livingstone said,"It was a fantastic experience to play for the Rajasthan Royals last year,". "I loved every second, learned a lot, the boys were great and I was delighted to play my part. However, I'm going to have an increased focus on red ball cricket next summer, so the decision was made to stay in England for this.

"I loved the experience of playing in the IPL, but I have decided to put a renewed focus on first-class cricket next summer. I am committed to improving my game in all formats and I still have hopes of playing Test cricket; the best way to achieve that is by impressing in Division One." he added.

Rajasthan Royals had only retained 14 players for the IPL 2020 and will enter into the auction with a purse of Rs. 28.90 Crores.
