The Alpine Stalker 75Ltr MK4 hunting backpack (AST75MK4) has been designed and built based on years of field experience to meet the needs and demanding performance requirements associated with extended 4 - 10 day pack hunts.
From the ground up, including custom designed fabrics and webbing, all materials, components and accessories have been carefully selected and combined to manufacture the most fully featured Backpack designed for Australian Hunting conditions currently available.

The most important aspect of any well designed Backpack is the harness system and waist belt.
The AST75MK4 harness and waist belt are both fully adjustable and removable and engineered to provide maximum comfort, load distribution and personalised fit. Once the harness system has been suitably adjusted to fit an individual correctly, the bulk of the Backpacks weight is comfortably distributed over the wearers hips providing a low centre of gravity for maximum stability, removing weight and strain from the shoulders and minimising cumulative fatigue whilst carrying the loaded pack.
The AST75MK4’s Back Panel is well padded where needed, providing wearer comfort in conjunction with good airflow and both the back panel and bag is fully supported by a sturdy form fitted X-Brace aluminium frame. This comes moulded to a contoured lumbar shape, however it can easily be removed and reshaped to fit anyone’s posture. The primary pack compartment is deep and spacious featuring a dedicated hydration pack pouch, secure draw-string storm flap closure with a rear centre zip as well as an internal zip-through floor to separate the lower compartment of the pack, providing 3 distinct access options. The rear access zip is especially handy when on the go.

Located on each side of the pack are integral gusseted side zip pockets offering generous storage and quick access, perfect for gear that requires ready accessibility.
To top things off, the removable lid provides multiple spacious zip pouches and can be combined with an optional accessory belt to be used as an effective 2-3lt Bum Bag.

Unique to the AST75MK4 is the new waist belt design featuring a custom made anodised clip that engages with the 50mm webbing allowing the addition of optional accessory pouches or any belt-loop style pouch, sheath or holster. The clip has been carefully designed to enable a strong connection point whilst still being easy to disconnect for adding and removing pouches and accessories.

To complement the AST75MK4 are a host of optional accessories that add function, convenience and versatility to an already feature rich Backpack.

Such accessories include a waterproof Map Pouch that attaches securely with velcro to the exterior side wall of the pack for quick access and easy reference. In wet conditions, a cover is recommended and a high visibility waterproof rain cover is available that attaches and conveniently stows away within a semi-concealed zip pouch at the base of the pack. Up to two Utility Pouches can be attached directly to the front of the harness for easy access to Radio / GPS/ PLB’s etc, or food and other small items that are best kept within easy reach. For the all-important hunting gear, 2 Rifle or Bow carry systems can be mounted to either the rear or side exterior of the pack consisting of a clip-on Bucket designed to support the weight of your Rifle Stock or Bow at the lower Cam, in conjunction with an upper pack mounted Hypalon anti-scratch fastening loop to keep your Rifle or Bow secure and prevent it from moving about. An accessory waist belt is also available that is designed specifically to integrate with the Packs removable lid enabling it to be carried and used as a Bum Bag, as well as a high-vis durable mesh Cape Bag that clips directly to the outside of the pack offering additional carry space for harvested Capes. The Cape Bag can also be attached directly to the Packs removable harness system which creates a very effective lightweight Day Pack system.

The AST75MK4 provides a well-rounded, feature rich solution for both Hunters and Hikers alike, offering full versatility and adjustment to suit every individual’s needs, with a level of durability and build quality second to none.
