Wayne Hartung shows you what it takes to start a small business.

Wayne Hartung is the person you are looking for if you want to succeed in business. As a 19 year old student at the University of Alabama, Wayne Hartung decided to go into business for himself. He started Hartung Commercial Properties, Inc. Wayne Hartung also became a vice president of a Fortune 500 company. Wayne Hartung is still the president of Hartung Commercial Properties, Inc., as well as the president of Marshall Auto Painting and Collision. Both companies are located in southeast Alabama with locations in Florida as well.

“I will advise small business owners to join their local Small Business Association and also seek a government grant,” says Wayne Hartung. His many years as a successful business owner give him the credibility to give advice to those who want to succeed.

Wayne Hartung will next point out that the government does not hand out grants for starting a small business, but you can apply for programs that will help you with start-up loans. Wayne Hartung will advise you that working with the Small Business Association in your area, you’ll receive the guidance you need to succeed.

Wayne Hartung also recommends that you find a mentor or an adviser. A mentor in business will help answer questions you have asked, and questions you have not thought of asking. They will be able to give you insight on what to expect, what to look out for, and what to completely avoid. Wayne Hartung says mentors are great resources and often have a wealth of knowledge.

Wayne Hartung says that a key item many small business owners fail to produce is a business plan. A business plan is crucial to your success. It is extremely important to write down what you are doing, what you want, where are you going, how are you going to get there, and how you will execute your plan.

Wayne Hartung says many people fail in business because they do not plan, but also because they do not have the courage to take that leap of faith. Business is a risky investment, but Wayne Hartung will strongly advise you to follow your passion. If your passion and drive are strong, Wayne Hartung says you are already on your way to success.
