The Indian rupee opened higher by 10 paise at 61.62 per dollar on Monday against 61.72 Friday.

Indian ADRs ended mostly lower on Thursday. In the IT space, Infosys was up 1.21 percent at USD 67.96 and Wipro was down 0.08 percent at USD 12.27.

About 1324 shares have advanced, 745 shares declined, and 67 shares are unchanged.

The Indian rupee started the trade on a positive note on Monday. The currency climbed 19 paise to 61.43 per dollar against Friday’s closing of 61.62.

The currency opened at 61.52 a dollar on Friday compared to Wednesday’s closing value of 61.41 per dollar.

The S&P BSE Sensex rose as much as 111 points in trade on Wednesday to hit its fresh record high.

The Indian rupee opened lower by 14 paise on Monday at 61.50 per dollar versus 61.36 Friday.

The Nifty has hit 8100 on October F&O expiry day. The 50-share index is up 10.45 points at 8100.90.

The Indian rupee opened flat at 61.33 per dollar versus 61.31 Monday.

The Indian rupee has opened at 61.15 a dollar on Wednesday, up 16 paise compared to previous day’s closing value of 61.31 per dollar.

The Indian rupee advanced in the early trade on Monday. It has opened higher by 24 paise at 61.20 per dollar against 61.44 Friday.

Indian markets are expected to trade in a range on Thursday, tracking muted trend seen in other Asian markets.

For the week, Sensex was DOWN -270.61 while the Nifty was DOWN -1.07% during the week.

The Sensex slipped 13.61 points to 26258.36 and the Nifty fell 4.75 points to 7847.65

Nifty declining 5.95 points to 7958.85 while the broader markets saw marginal gains.

The Indian rupee opened weak by 21 paise at 61.35 per dollar versus 61.14 Friday.

The Indian rupee fell further in early trade Friday. The currency opened at 61.46 a dollar, down 12 paise compared to previous day’s closing value of 61.34 a dollar

Nifty ended at 8146.30 UP 24.85 points and Sensex at 27206.74 UP 116.32 points.

The Indian rupee opened flat on Monday at 60.85 per dollar versus 60.81 Friday.

The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 60.77 per dollar on Friday against yesterday’s close of 60.83 a dollar.

The Sensex is up 156.61 points at 26649.12 and the Nifty is up 45.20 points at 7978.10.

The Indian rupee slipped in early trade on Monday. It has opened lower by 27 paise at 60.92 per dollar against 60.65 Friday.

Mixed global markets and a slip in the rupee also weighed on sentiment.

The fall in the index was led by losses in Infosys, ITC, L&T, RIL, SBI and M&M.

The rupee was trading at 60.43/44 versus its previous close of 60.3550/3650. The index of the dollar against six major currencies was trading up 0.05 per cent.

Nifty ended at 8027.70 UP 73.35 points and Sensex at 26867.55 UP 229.44 points.

The Indian rupee opened flat at 60.50 per dollar versus 60.50 Thursday.

Nifty ended at 7904.75 DOWN 1.55 points and Sensex at 26442.81 UP 5.79 points.

The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 60.55 per dollar on Monday as against Friday’s closing value of 60.47 a dollar.
