The S&P BSE Sensex rallied over 350 points in Monday morning trade on Monday led by gains in ITC, HDFC, HDFC Bank, Infosys, L&T, and RIL.

The Nifty50 surged above its crucial level of 7,800 supported by gains in realty, power, metal, capital goods, banks, and auto stocks.

• Tata Steel (up 1.3 per cent)
• ONGC (up 1.3 per cent)
• Adani Ports (up 1.2 per cent).

• Dr Redyy's Laboratories (down 2.1 per cent)
• Sun Pharma (down 0.68 per cent)
• TCS (down 0.21 per cent)

COMMODITY MARKET
Spot gold edged lower on Monday, but remained supported in the face of a firm dollar as investors bet a weaker US payroll report would push out the timing of any rate hike. Spot gold eased 0.2 percent to USD 1,286.11 an ounce by 0145 GMT, after hitting a five-month high last week, and is consolidating within a USD 1,268-USD 1,303 trading band. Spot gold closed little changed last week after a 5 percent jump the week before.
