India-based mobile wallet company MobiKwik has entered the short-term consumer loan segment, claiming to be the first wallet company in India to roll out this service, according to the release.
MobiKwik plans to to collate users' transaction history and draw credit profiles, as it expects to grow user base from 32 million presently to 150 million in two years.
The ability to add these features with almost no investment or changes required at the merchant’s end is a definitive example of the flexibility of MobiKwik’s offering. MobiKwik is also the lightest mobile wallet app in the country.
Delhi leads bus bookings on the MobiKwik platform, followed by Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and Kolkata. Maximum number of booking are made on the MobiKwik app (85%), followed by the MobiKwik website (15%).
