Varun Naidu has been actively involved in a myriad of tasks ranging from solving the crimes and protecting the community to responding to accidents and incidents. With a higher integrity and character, Varun Naidu possesses a solid experience in operational policing as an investigator, supervisor, manager, and executive. Besides, he holds a diverse background in Patrol Division, Drug Section, Criminal Investigation Branch, Emergency Response Team, and Community Policing.

Formerly serving as a sergeant in Delta Police Drug Section, Varun Naidu supervised seven constables in the areas of drug investigations. It included indoor marijuana grow operations and drug trafficking. Besides, he provided oversight on all the investigations and developed strategies within the team in order to reduce the impact of drugs in the community through education, enforcement and community partnership.

In January 2015, Varun served as Staff Sergeant Watch Commander where he served as the supervisor of a patrol shift. He was responsible for a team of seventeen constables and two sergeants conducting patrol and uniform functions.

All thanks to his skills and dedication, Varun Naidu became the part of Emergency Response Team where he conducted high risk operations that fell outside the skills, knowledge and abilities of regular members such as warrant service, barricaded persons and hostage rescue. He was then selected as the team leader of the Emergency Response Team where he supervised all tactical operations and coordinated training.

During his leisure time, Varun loves to watch sports especially NFL. Besides, he regularly goes to gym and has travelled a lot along with his family. Soon, he will join the Porsche club. he is quite fond of reading and watching movies.

Varun Naidu has been the inspector in charge of Operational Support Branch where he managed Traffic Section, Vulnerable Sector, Community Policing, Victim Services, Community Relations and School Liaison Units. It was his responsibility to ensure that the Operational Support Branch was adequately resourced and managed. In September 2017, Varun served in Inspector Strategic Services Branch where he conducted reviews and coordinated special projects for the Department. He also supervised the Emergency Management Section and the Victim Services Unit.
